Day 4
This morning we woke up at around 6.15 some are still jet
lagged (Abbie and Hannah) and we had breakfast at 6.45 having cereal and toast.
At the pool we mixed with the local swimming club, Pine
crest. We did a sprint set racing people we didn’t know. We then did kick chat
to get to know people in our lanes from pine crest. They didn’t even know what
a Yorkshire pudding was! We got to know their names, age, favourite food, best stroke
and event. Some people had the chance to trade hats with their new made
friends.
Some people applied to do the lactose test and Alisha, Ryan,
Daniel, Charlie, Caomi and Catherine all tried to be tested but not enough
blood came out to have accurate results. Charlie had to be tested 5 times on his
finger and once on his ear and it still wouldn’t work.
When we arrived back at our home for 2 weeks most of us went
in the pool and splashed and squirted each other with water guns. Ryan then got
pushed in (with all his clothes on) by Adam twice which was really funny as
Ryan got payback on Adam.
Then we had to do another session in the water. We did a
kick set and all of our legs were burning afterwards.
After we had finished the session we went back home to clean
our rooms the girl’s room was clean but the boys had everything everywhere. Due
to this we all had our phone confiscated until tomorrow lunch time.
For tea we had cottage pie which was delicious with vegetables
and matt gave us a talk so if we didn’t work hard in the morning we had to
train new year’s eve in the evening he sent us straight to bed with lights out
at 9.30.

Sounds like a boot camp. I'm relaxing with a glass of champagne, after an excellent veggie cordon blue meal cooked by Carolyn. Polenta, mushrooms and roasted kale.
ReplyDeleteIf the local clubs don't know what Yorkshire pudding is, have you tried to explain what faggots are, or even that spotted dick is a pudding?
