At the crack of dawn we woke up at 6.20 ready for our breakfast at 6:45. It was our first morning training session-killer fly set. Everybody was tired and aching but never lacked any motivation throughout. We powered through the painful fly set and basically cried all the way through. With the support of team managers and coach we managed to complete the set.
The session had finished at 10am, which we then had 9 minutes to be dressed and on the buses. It was then was followed by a sweaty land training session on the beach!! A certain someone (Catherine) was nearly about to wee on the back seats of matts people carrier, causing a delayed start to our land training session (we were all clearly devastated by this).
The land training was very hard and tiring due to the burning sensation from the sand when we ran. We then decided to run along the sea shore, but when it came to the press ups and sit ups we were covered with water. After we finished we had 30 minutes to play in the sea (which Matt joined in too).
Matts car was the party central of Florida as Shelley turned the tunes onto max and all the windows were down so everybody could hear. Kelsie decided, with the influence of Matt, to hang out the window waving and shouting hello to strangers in the street. Which then led to someone offering her a bite out of their sandwich. Charlie then joined in to which he managed to get a high-5.
Olivia, Catherine & Daniel were meanwhile dancing to watch me whip in the back seats. Maisie was genuinely showing us how to have a good time and also speak on an American Accent.
After our tea, which was NOT chicken and our second lot of training for the day we headed to the beach to TRY and play a game of American football. However it turned out it was a very aggressive game and nobody actually knew how to play. During our game a young turtle decided to come and watch, which caused a lot of disruption around us.
We then had some frozen yogurt on our way back to the cars. It was delicious!! As as we got home it was lights out after a very very long day!!
