Day 4

Day 4

This morning we woke up at around 6.15 some are still jet lagged (Abbie and Hannah) and we had breakfast at 6.45 having cereal and toast.

At the pool we mixed with the local swimming club, Pine crest. We did a sprint set racing people we didn’t know. We then did kick chat to get to know people in our lanes from pine crest. They didn’t even know what a Yorkshire pudding was! We got to know their names, age, favourite food, best stroke and event. Some people had the chance to trade hats with their new made friends.

Some people applied to do the lactose test and Alisha, Ryan, Daniel, Charlie, Caomi and Catherine all tried to be tested but not enough blood came out to have accurate results. Charlie had to be tested 5 times on his finger and once on his ear and it still wouldn’t work.

When we arrived back at our home for 2 weeks most of us went in the pool and splashed and squirted each other with water guns. Ryan then got pushed in (with all his clothes on) by Adam twice which was really funny as Ryan got payback on Adam.

Then we had to do another session in the water. We did a kick set and all of our legs were burning afterwards.

After we had finished the session we went back home to clean our rooms the girl’s room was clean but the boys had everything everywhere. Due to this we all had our phone confiscated until tomorrow lunch time.

For tea we had cottage pie which was delicious with vegetables and matt gave us a talk so if we didn’t work hard in the morning we had to train new year’s eve in the evening he sent us straight to bed with lights out at 9.30.

Swimmers/Coaches Dream

This evenings session took place without the presence of any other team leaving (8 x Lanes 50m) and (8 x Lanes 25 yards) for 19 swimmers - I have to admit we struggled for space ๐Ÿ˜‚ #trainingdream

This &That

Team Managers happy... Or will be after their fix !!

Beth and Cottage pie go together like peas and carrots

Anyone seen the film 'cheaper by the dozen' .... Pfffff - we are talking nearly 2 dozen here

Day 3

At the crack of dawn we woke up at 6.20 ready for our breakfast at 6:45. It was our first morning training session-killer fly set. Everybody was tired and aching but never lacked any motivation throughout. We powered through the painful fly set and basically cried all the way through. With the support of team managers and coach we managed to complete the set.

The session had finished at 10am, which we then had 9 minutes to be dressed and on the buses. It was then was followed by a sweaty land training session on the beach!! A certain someone (Catherine) was nearly about to wee on the back seats of matts people carrier, causing a delayed start to our land training session (we were all clearly devastated by this).

The land training was very hard and tiring due to the burning sensation from the sand when we ran. We then decided to run along the sea shore, but when it came to the press ups and sit ups we were covered with water. After we finished we had 30 minutes to play in the sea (which Matt joined in too).

Matts car was the party central of Florida as Shelley turned the tunes onto max and all the windows were down so everybody could hear. Kelsie decided, with the influence of Matt, to hang out the window waving and shouting hello to strangers in the street. Which then led to someone offering her a bite out of their sandwich. Charlie then joined in to which he managed to get a high-5.
Olivia, Catherine & Daniel were meanwhile dancing to watch me whip in the back seats. Maisie was genuinely showing us how to have a good time and also speak on an American Accent.

After our tea, which was NOT chicken and our second lot of training for the day we headed to the beach to TRY and play a game of American football.  However it turned out it was a very aggressive game and nobody actually knew how to play. During our game a young turtle decided to come and watch, which caused a lot of disruption around us.

We then had some frozen yogurt on our way back to the cars. It was delicious!! As as we got home it was lights out after a very very long day!!

Day 2

Day 2

We woke up really Jet lagged and tired from the airport. We all started the day with chicken for breakfast. We then started to try and get our tans, and Nathan managed to get sunburn instead.  Masie suffered a direct hit to the noggin and josh suffered one to his pride and joy from a deadly tennis projectile. It was a boiling 25 degrees even at 10:00 am.  Next we went in the villa’s pool and just messed about. Trying to do flips and RKO’s and take some film with the Go-Pro. For lunch we had more chicken and then went to Pine Crest Pool. The pool was really nice and the water was quite warm.  We swam for 2 hours and then did some stretches. Finally we came home and had some really nice pasta that Paul made with chicken.

Callum & Nathan

Team managers are reporting a happy camp with good behaviour all around and a positive team environment.

One Down.......

First session completed, some serious stretching by some serious looking athletes!

Calm before the Storm...Little do they know ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sunday 27 December 2015

Day 1

Day 1 finally complete, waking up at 6:30 for a disciplinary run m, scoffing breakfast and then headed to the airport, Duty free was bought and many packs of sandwiches unfortunately sweets where confiscated ( parents your children blame you).

On to the double decker plane that was carrying celebrities Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw - the invite was extended for them to come say hi but obviously they had better engagements.

10 hours of flight was occupied by countless snacks, beverages and films, big shout out to Abby, Hannah, Alisha and Beth who showed the rest of the team how to behave.

Customs presented finger printing problems using the new machines and the Hoyland siblings apparently don't have finger prints๐Ÿ˜.

Cars collected and loaded Beth was definitely the safest passenger surrounded by luggage, Shelley taking the lads and Paul with the limousine mini bus ๐Ÿ˜.

Matts sat nav was playing so co pilot Kelsie did a sterling job of co ordinating the convoy dealing with red lights and staying in the right side of the road.

Chicken, rice, salad, brocolie and water before bed and finally they was all settled for exactly 12pm local time.

That's the first day done and out the way onto the fun stuff now - see you tomorrow๐ŸŠ๐Ÿป
